David has a broad based background in real estate including buying and selling, fix and flip, lease to own, property management, staging and leasing, short sales, foreclosures and REO’s (bank owned property). As co-founder of Homeward Bound Solutions and Lone Tree Ventures, LLCs, David has been using creative strategies to put together residential real estate deals in three states including Colorado, Florida and Nevada since 2002.
Our focus in Colorado has been buying distressed real estate at below market values, then either wholesaling it, or fixing it up to resell at retail prices. We feel that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy real estate at unprecedented value while interest rates are historically low. We are currently buying real estate at the foreclosure auction, REO properties from the banks, short sales and even through MLS. We are leveraging our own IRA money as well as raising capital privately in order to buy distressed properties. This has a double benefit of paying us today, as well as funding our retirement for tomorrow.
Prior to developing an interest in real estate, David worked in corporate America for 20 years including work at American Airlines, Sabre and Electronic Data Systems. While at American Airlines, David and his team negotiated multi million dollar contracts in support of American Airlines’ Corporate Real Estate Group.
David received his BS in Economics from Oregon State University. Additionally, David is a licensed Colorado real estate agent, a member of the Denver Board of Realtors, and, a member of the Denver Independent Brokers Association. Before investing in real estate on a full time basis, David began buying investment homes as a hobby and it wasn’t long before he realized real estate would become less of a hobby and more of a full time career.
